Who is Levi Hollow Tools?
Levi Hollow Tools is a family owned and operated specialty woodworking tool manufacturing company located in southern Ohio, around 70 miles east of Cincinnati in Adams County.
Started in 2008 by Richard Rhodes with the introduction of the TrueTrac Track Saw System we sold primarily through direct-to-consumer trade shows and a brick-and-mortar dealer distribution network until 2016. Richard has been involved in the woodworking tool industry for over 40 years in roles ranging from direct sales rep, national sales manager at various companies, as well as a training consultant for a variety of sales forces.
With the addition of Richard’s youngest son Jacob coming back full time to the company in mid 2016, our focus shifted more towards expanding the E-commerce/online sales portion of our business. Jacob's background is Mechanical Engineering with a sub-focus in mass manufacturing/automation, worked as a CNC process engineer for four years with Alcoa, and participated in the Baja SAE collegiate program at Case Western Reserve University.
In late 2017 Jacob purchased the company outright from his father and is the current owner/operator, with Richard and his wife Darlene semi-retiring and coming in at their leisure to tinker around the shop rather than needing to be in every day. On some days we literally have four generations of our family here at the shop, with Darlene’s mother coming in to help with small parts assembly as well as one of their grandsons tending the CNC machines after school in the afternoons/evenings.
Since 2017 the company has brought the majority of it’s manufacturing in-house with the addition of two CNC mills and a handful of other more specialized equipment, though we still source the aluminum and plastic extrusions found in most of our products locally from other manufacturers. In late 2019 the TrueTrac Router Gantry System was added to the product portfolio.
All in all, we hope any business that we conduct with you is a pleasurable experience. We promise to do everything we possibly can to make sure you’re happy with our guide rail systems and other products that we release in the future.
