Finally got my slabs back from the kiln. What an awesome tool! I'm very impressed with the design and the efficient. I would strongly recommend this jig for anyone looking to flatten big slabs. I also appreciate how concerned the company is about customer satisfaction!
Over the past few years I have purchased items from TrueTrac, one of my purchases was the router slab flattening system. I don’t use it very often, but, I noticed that the last few times of using it that it was very difficult to use the sled on the opposing rails. I cleaned, I waxed, I used different lubricants hoping that it was just sawdust causing the issue, but to no avail. I reached out to Jacob Rhodes and he responded back and after looking into the time frame of my purchase, he told me that they had a bad batch of rails, and to do field checks on my rails, in which I did, and it was determined that my rails were defective. He sent me out new rails at no charge, now mind you this was well past 2 years of original purchase. TrueTrac and Jacob Rhodes are honest people who stand behind their made in America products!
I bought the clamps to help keep thin ply stable. I wish the clamping screws were a tiny bit longer, but they work well. Being able to slide the clamp under the material (not over the edge) means I can use them all the time. The TrueTrac stays in-place by itself, but the clamps enhance my confidence. They slide easily under the long track.
I am building crates out of very thin ply. I have an older "straight edge" and I had trouble with the thin ply creating gaps under the straight edge and my saw got very out-of-true. I purchased the TrueTrack with the clamps and I think the clamps are a must. The thin ply are well-capture by the clamps keeping everything snug. You need to plan on spending considerable time making the saw base really really true to the blade. T he included jigs make this as easy as it could be, and the instructions are spot on - use clamps when you begin. The TrueTrac system works very well and the saw base fits really well with the saw guide. This system gives me true and correct cuts +/- about 1/16th inch. It works so well cutting the long edge of a 4x8 panel is no longer stressful nor do I wonder if my setup will work. This has bee an important tool to improve my quality.
I ordered my TrueTrac Pro-Series 8' Combo Kit and Simple Square Guide to use in combination with the expandable track table. The table is easy to store and really helps break down sheets of plywood quickly. I am using the Makita rear handle cordless saw with the track. It was a little tricky to setup because of the honey comb base on the saw. I thought about using a smaller lighter saw, but wanted the depth of cut provided by the 7-1/4” blade. I’m impressed at how easy the saw glides on the track, and the saw’s weight saw isn’t a problem at all.
Looking forward to years of good use.
Thanks for making an affordable solution for cutting sheet products.
If you want great products with excellent customer service you cannot beat this company. I have their track saw kit and the clamps and I could not be happier. Highly recommend this company and any of their products.
Worked perfectly as advertised. The only addition I’d like to see is a turn wheel on each side of the threaded cross bar. Overall extremely happy.
Being a first time user with the RGS and a router it worked out great for me, just a learning curve for the different thickness of wood for setup
I’m very impressed with the quality of the gantry product, customer support, and performance in slab flattening. I set it up an unheated garage. When below freezing, the grease or whatever lubricant used in the screw system must thicken making it hard to operate. That’s my only picky issue.
Unless you have only one or two cuts to make with your circular saw, the TruTrac system is without question, the best way to make those cuts. It's the perfect blend of affordability, accuracy, flexibility and speed. Yes, It does take several minutes to make the initial attachment to your circular saw but once done you'll quickly regain that time. Just line up the edge of the track to your cut mark and cut. The grips on the underside of the track are almost magically grippy without being sticky or leaving residue and no pealing of double-faced tape to hold a makeshift straightedge in place like we all have probably tried.
The personalized, customer service is so refreshing in this age of AI. I wanted to make a last minute change to my order and was kind of surprised to get a call from Jacob to graciously accommodate my request. Then, when my order got tied up in the Christmas shipping rush at the post office, he again bent over backwards to get my order to me in a timely way though the original shipping delay was out of his control. I recommend TruTrac products and the company with no reservations.
As solid as the TruTrac system is, I like the peace of mind the toggle clamps give me. They are well worth the cost especially if cutting on a dusty or less than perfectly grippy material.
I have used the guide for close to 10 years
Needed a shorter one to do cross cuts.
Its the best for breaking down plywood.
It is also great for ripping a angle on a 2 by
Along with the expandable table they offer
It's a must have for a one man show.

Had a serious issue with Triton 3.25 router. Returned it. Now I need advice on where to go in terms of replacement

True track system is great very easy to set up cuts a perfect edge. No need to buy a special saw for this system
This is a great value. I also bought the router sled haven’t used it yet, but if it works as good as sled that’s great
You can’t go wrong with this system. It’s a great price.
Watched and reviewed all the router sleds that are available in this category. Went with TrueTrac and was happy with the outcome. I had a 5’x10’ walnut slab to flatten. TrueTrac flattened the slab beautifully and precisely. It was an easy set up to put the sled together and more importantly the customer service communication was top notch. That is a big win for me!!!
i think the sled workes well .i have only have tried this commercial sled . the question is dose it work better than the ones i have made over the years ? have i seen a big enough difrence in the finish . we bouthe the sled and dust shroud and new router and recmonded router bit . the sled works well , in my opinion the plate the router mounts to should be wider for router to sit squaire , the thumb screws are to long, if you screw them down snug they bottem out and you cant crank the handle .if you just snug them they constly back out .the dust extractor plat dose not alot but keep the wood shavings from hitting you .the crank wheel should be bigger or thred in the rod needs to be more agresse. the slip it works ok cloects dust . i did have to try it . i did my resurch and i picked true trac .
. after i have all together and used on 25 slabs , the finish is maybe 5% better than my homemade sled , dust shroud i would not wast my money on . i will saw i did talk to roger 2 times before i bought and 2 times after . his costmer serivec is what sold me . i only had 1 time he did not return my call . happy wood working
The mill saves time and produces excellent results at an affordable price.
I looked at many options including True Trac. It may cost a little more but it is well worth it
Set up was simple, the supplied manual is very detailed
I flattened a few band saw milled slabs and it worked better than expected. I highly recommend!
Your table is awesome. My problem is learning how to set my new plunge router and dust on narrow boards. But the table is awesome 👌.
I've been cutting walnut lumber 1.25 thick 8 to 16 in. Wide it does a good job
Delivery was quick, set up was easy and it worked exactly as advertised. will be using it for many projects in the future.
Did my first slab and was very pleased with the results. The instructions were easy to read and the videos were very helpful.
