I upgraded my set-up from a smaller scale mill to the TrueTrac gantry system. It has made a significant improvement in quality of the finished product. I work with large slabs and in addition to quality improvement, I also have time reduction vs my old methods. This system was an investment in the business, and it is quickly paying off. Get the dust collection adder too.

We got the slab mill in and put it to use flatting a 39x96" table. The mounting holes with our Dewalt router (on the list) aligned very well with a 90-degree turn of the handles to make pulling easy. Having the threaded cross feed was very valuable and the job would have been much more difficult without it. It does take time to turn it enough to get it from one side to the other and a quick release would be a nice feature. We are very happy with it and would purchase it again.

The sled I ordered was everything I wanted. Well packaged, easy instructions and great service. I would recommend getting the vacuum system as the dust from walnut is terrible.

The gentry mill works great. We have completed 2 large projects. The vacumn attachments works but we had to remove them to work on a very wide piece. Set up was not hard to do and we dialed it in very quickly. The secret is to not try to take off more that the bit can handle. We are spinning a 2.25 inch bit with the large Milwaukee router. Our projects so far has been in Live Oak which is very hard.
